Over ten thousand! Our numbers have slowed, but we’re on pace to succeed. When we’re not fiendishly refreshing our Kickstarter page to discover your most recent support, Austin and I have been trying to find new ways to spruce up our features for everyone. We understand your concerns about backing a game that you haven’t played, and so, we’ve teamed up with OverboardGames to give our Tabletop Simulator some major technical and visual upgrades. Check it out, OBG has streamlined the workshop mod to make it a much more accessible experience. After you fight the curse on TTS, you should also check out their twitch channel as a thank-you for their help!
For those that are unfamiliar, Tabletop Simulator is a paid-for game (currently on sale for $9.99) on the Steam client that allows you to play a multitude of uploaded board and card games online. If you are uninterested in paying for TTS, then Tabletopia is a browser-based option that is also available! Either way, check out Misfortune Lane if you feel that you just need that last little push before committing to some good ol’fashioned monster (or kid) hunting.

Almost two-thirds of the way there! This momentum is truly greater than we could’ve hoped. We want to honor the success by listening to our backers. Both in comments and in private messages, we’ve received some feedback about our current kid selection, as well as suggestions about future kid characters. To celebrate how far (and fast) we’ve come, we are adding a new exclusive pledge level! For the premium backer that wants a unique version of The Curse of Misfortune Lane, there will be an alternative option of limited supply. This level entitles you to a copy of the game that will include an additional kid character modeled after a likeness design of your choice. You’ll be able to send us a name, a photo (you, your kid, your pet, your least favorite president, or whoever you want to be the likeness), as well as about a page of context to help us create your unique Kid with his or her own unique ability! Ever wondered how your goldfish would fare against the Zombies of Misfortune Lane? Get her a blunderbuss and lets see what she can do! Wow! What an incredible first day! In 12 hours, we’ve raised half of our total goal. To celebrate this achievement, we’ve added a free print & play version of our game. You can find the link at the end of the “How to Play” section. The print & play edition is in black and white and about 25 total pages.
Since about half of our backers appear to be new to Kickstarter, it’s important to understand that you will receive updates fairly regularly from us. These updates serve as good faith reminders of the work we are doing, and help keep us accountable. Hopefully every future update will be as exciting as fifty percent on day one!
